During my only visit to Japan (Feb. 2020), I enjoyed evening walks. The volume of neon and LED lighting provided abundant contrast for night images.

While visiting New York City for my 47th high school reunion, a friend and I decided to walk the Manhattan Bridge for photos in the late afternoon. With the sun low in the sky, we got some nice spot lighting through bridge structures.

WIth no direct sun, late afternoon, I was focused on the yellow city-bike with just enough depth to keep a clean background, capturing this couple leaving the subway. The colors of the birthday bag and shirt details matched the wall art.
